Is everything really FREE?
Yes! There are no charges for any site features. We function on donations and sponsered advertising only.

Memberships
All memberships are FREE. We do not exclude anyone from joining. You may be a buyer, a seller, or someone giving away a pet or someone willing to offer a home to a pet thats available at no charge. Our software does not permit more than one profile per member. So if you have more than one pet, or are looking for more than one type, multiple memberships to the same person or animal shelter are ok by us.

How long do memberships last?
If you do not login within 60 days, your membership and profile may be dropped. We use the last login date to determine last use. No big deal - you can just sign up again. This basically insures that members are active members.

How do I prevent losing my profile?
Just log in once a month. Your login is recorded and you should be fine. Keeping users and profiles current should make our site effective.

Registration
When you sign up, a randomly generated password is sent to your email address. It is sent from admin@wegotpets.com automatically. Once you are logged in, you should change your password to something easy for you to remember.

How come I didnt get my email with my password?
Sometimes the email is seen as SPAM by your ISP or email program. You may have to either try another email address. Another reason is spelling errors in the email address. For example, we get returned mails like joe_smith@yahoo.co - forgetting the m in .com. These are most likely the top two reasons you may have this problem. 99% of our membership signups are trouble free.

I forgot my password
You can reset your password by clicking here. If there are problems getting your password, we can manually reset it. Please email us by clicking here.

How do I Delete my profile?
Member control panel now has a delete feature.

How do I change my email address?
Currently, this is not a member option. You will need to contact support by clicking here. You may need to allow up to 48 hours for the changes to be applied as these are done manually.

Is wegotpets safe for children?
YES! There are no links on this site that take anyone to any other site that has not been checked by us.

Is wegotpets.com affilated with any animal rights or protection groups?
No! We are strictly a medium to help pet owners find a new home for for the pets they can no longer care for and a way for those who wish to find a new family. We have recieved some complaints regarding providing a medium for those who wish to aquire animals for research purposes. Thats is not our intention.

Privacy
All membership Information is kept private. The database uses your email address to email you your password and for password recovery. You will also be emailed by the system when someone leaves you a message or tries to contact you. Your email address is never exposed. All member-to-member emails are actually stored in the site database as messages and not actually sent as email.

Can I post my e-mail address or phone number in my public profile?
Of course you can. During the create or edit profile proccess, enter it under more information. Please keep in mind, profiles are open, public information that anyone viewing the site can see. You can choose to only use the website's member-to-member contact feature for communication.

Picture Uploads
The biggest problem with failed uploads is the pictures file size - this is limited to 200Kb. Make sure your picture is no larger than 200Kb in file size.

I uploaded my picture, but it still doesn't show in my profile
ALL picture uploads must be aproved by Admin! Please allow up to 48 hours for pictures to be aproved.
